Custom Plates & Dumbbells

American Athletics will Customize your plates and dumbbells with your school or organization's logo or mascot. Select from our competition urethane or rubber bumper plates, standard rubber bumper plates, rubber coated change plates, and rubber Pro-Style dumbbells.

Our plates and dumbbells are extremely durable and hold up well to use in weight room environments. Custom branding is also very durable and has been found to last for years.

For plates, we offer standard rubber bumper plates and urethane as well as a bumper in our Competition Series plates. 
Our dumbbells are rubber-coated Pro-Series dumbbells.

Artwork is very important to produce high quality Team Logo images. We prefer that you provide a vector file of your logo. We also understand that many times that is near impossible or impossible to do. In these cases, we have an art department that will be able to assist in producing a vector file from another image type that you provide.

Please let us know if you need help with your logo and we will get our team members involved to help. We can help with converting a raster file into a vector with a decent copy of your logo, or if you need to make adjustments to your current logo, we can help with that as well.

Vector files are much more flexible and rely on mathematical equations that generate files upon rescaling in order to allow a perfect image quality. Common vector file types are .ai, .eps and some .pdf files. Click here to see a simple infographic explaining how to tell if you have a vector file.
Note: not all .pdf files are vector, so you should confirm that they are first.

Raster files use thousands of pixels to build an image. Each pixel has a color. These pixels are put together like a jigsaw puzzle to create your image/ logo. Common files which use Raster images are JPG, GIF and PNG files.

One simple way to determine if your image is a vector file type is to expand it several times. If the edges are pixelated or distorted, it is not a vector file. If the edges are clean and sharp, then it is most likely a vector file.
